Share the Health provides free gynecology care to uninsured patients on a referral only basis.
Thanks to our newly developed partnership with Specialty Care Free Clinic (formerly known as: BSP Free Clinic), our referrals have been integrated into their workflow. Our goals are to ensure we are not duplicating services that are available through other programs and to ensure that patients with the most critical medical needs have the highest priority in appointment scheduling. In order to achieve these goals we will be reviewing all referrals during the week prior to each month's clinic. Once we review the referrals we will either contact the patient directly to schedule their appointments, or contact the referring provider to explain why the referrals have been declined. We hope this change will allow us to continue to be a sustainable source of gynecologic care for uninsured women in our community for years to come.
